11 figurants in Ingushetia attack case transferred to Pyatigorsk prison
Eleven out of twelve defendants in the criminal case on militants' attack on Ingushetia in June 2004, whose relatives held pickets demanding not to protract the litigation on their joint case, were removed from the IVS (pre-trial detention facility) of the MIA of Ingushetia to the IVS called "White Swan" in Pyatigorsk.
The relatives informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the twelfth defendant - Murat Esmurziev is still kept at the IVS in Ingushetia, where medical aid is rendered to him.
The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that Esmurziev's relatives said that his health condition requires urgent hospitalization. His serious problems, according to the relatives, are implications of Murat's torture and beatings.
At the same time, the relatives report that the present situation adds little confidence that the litigation will not be protracted, even in spite of the fact that a new judge was appointed to run the trial.
