President of Chechnya: Sulim Yamadaev was involved in Ahmat Kadyrov's murder
Tonight, President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said to journalists in Grozny that he has data about involvement of Sulim Yamadaev, who was recently murdered in United Arab Emirates, in the terror act committed on May 9, 2004, in Grozny, which killed his father, the then President Ahmat Kadyrov.
The Chechen leader is sure that Yamadaev undertook repeated attempts to organize his murder, as "Interfax" reports. "I've got proofs by 70 percent that he was involved in my father's murder, moreover, he also twice attempted on me: he wanted to poison the lake in my residence (country seat in Gudermes) on the inauguration day; I have witnesses," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes Kadyrov as saying.
At the same time, President of Chechnya would not admit any involvement of people from his retinue in Yamadaev's murder and treated as "provocation" the conclusions of the Dubai police of involvement of his cousin and State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov and citizen of Emirates Makhdi Larniya in the crime. The latter was arrested in Dubai as a suspect of organizing the murder and happened to be a Kadyrov's subordinate.
Meanwhile, Sulim Yamadaev had predicted his own death after his brother Ruslan was killed in Moscow, as The Sunday Times writes today. Mark Franketti, the author of the article, says that in his last interview - last November - Yamadaev said that the authorities of Chechnya had set up a special group of 12 persons to hunt him. "Officially, they had to arrest me, but they were ordered not to take me alive. Kadyrov, who is acting against me, asserts that the order arrived from Putin, but I believe that Kadyrov, using Putin's name, pursues his own aims," said Sulim Yamadaev.
According to Mr Franketti, there are no evidences that Ramzan Kadyrov has anything to do with Sulim Yamadaev's murder. The police of Dubai do not exclude that a certain organized criminal grouping is behind the murder.
