Armenian population of Samtskhe Javakhksky and Kvemo Kartliysky regions will be united front during parliamentary elections in Georgia

The council of representatives of Armenian organizations in the Samtskhe Javakhksky and Kvemo Kartliysky regions of Georgia called upon the Armenians of the regions to be a united front during the parliamentary elections coming on November 2 in Georgia.

The council also expressed readiness to assist that political force which "will raise and lobby interest of the Armenian population of Georgia in the legislative body".

The council is to announce a number of pre-election proposals that the future parliamentarians are expected to solve.

  • Defender of Sochi gardeners' rights claims illegal prosecution

    Law enforcers have conducted a search of the home of Tatiana Polivanova, an activist, and her family members in Taganrog in connection with a fraud case with land plots of the Sochi National Park. The Polivanova's organization provided legal assistance to dozens of gardeners whose plots were seized by the court within this case.
