Georgian opposition to continue protests till May 15
Leaders of the opposition parties of Georgia have submitted an application to the Mayoralty of Tbilisi notifying that the actions demanding resignation of Mikhail Saakashvili will go on from May 8 till May 15.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that mass actions of Georgian oppositional forces with a demand Of President Mikhail Saakashvili's resignation began on April 9, and on April 26 the opposition announced its intention to go on with the actions till May 8. As to Mr Saakashvili, he has stated that he is not going to resign till the end of his office - in 2013.
As announced by members of the Conservative Party of Georgia, in the meantime the opposition plans to hold actions and manifestations in Rustaveli Avenue in front of the building of the Parliament, at the State University, office of the Public Television, near two President's residences - in Avlabari and Shavnabad, at the Mayoralties of Tbilisi, the premises of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, one of the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and opposite the MIA building as such, as ITAR-TASS reports.
It is planned that some 100,000 persons will take part in these actions, as the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.
