Moscow remembers victims of Dubrovka terror
Today, Moscow brings back to memory of the victims of the terrorist act in Dubrovka area. Four years have passed after hostage-taking by terrorists during musical "Nord-Ost," the "Blotter" reports.
According to RIA "Novosti," the investigation of the case has been extended till November 19, 2006. Within the investigation procedure, charges were presented in absentia to the authorities in hands of Chechen separatists Basaev, Yandarbiev, Dudaev and Zakaev.
Meanwhile, the persons who suffered as a result of Dubrovka act of terror are planning to sue the Moscow city authorities. The victims have the only goal in mind - to strive for justice, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.
On October 23, 2002, 923 spectators and actors of the musical "Nord-Ost" were taken hostage by terrorists. 130 persons died and over 700 suffered health damage. Forty terrorists were killed. Most of the hostages were released as a result of a special operation undertaken on October 26, 2002.
