Dagestan buried the churchman assassinated in a terror act

Today, funeral has passed in Chirkej village of Kurmagomed Ramazanov, deputy mufti of the Spiritual Department of Moslems of Dagestan, and his brother, who died during yesterday's terror act.

The car of the deputy mufti was blown up in the evening of July 26 in Mursalov Street in Makhachkala. Apart from Ramazanov, his brother who accompanied him was killed, and one more person was wounded.

According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, it was a non-case explosive, the power of which is now established.

On the fact of the explosion in Makhachkala, as a result of which Kurmagomed Ramazanov was killed, a criminal case has been initiated on three articles: "murder" (Part 1, Article 105, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation); "illegal purchase, transfer, sale or keeping weapons, explosives and ammunition" (Article 222) and "illegal manufacture of arms" (Article 223), the official web site of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation informs.

The Radio Liberty reports that the main version is that the attempt on Ramazanov was connected with his public activities.

Mr Ramazanov was taking several high positions at once at the Spiritual Department of the Republic, including the post of deputy imam of the central mosque of Makhachkala and imam of one of city mosques.
