"Voice of Beslan" to appeal against court ruling on victims' complaint against inspectors

The "Voice of Beslan" public organization of terror act victims has filed a cassation complaint to the ruling of the Promyshlenny Court of North Ossetia, which had rejected the complaint of the victims on the actions of the investigatory group engaged in investigating the Beslan tragedy; the Court has found all the victims' claims to be groundless.

The "Voice of Beslan" has stated that the criminal case on the terror act is investigated non-objectively, and the rights of the victims are regularly prejudiced.

Now the victims have prepared a statement of claim to the Leninskiy Court of the Republic asking that social guarantees be granted to them by the government of the Russian Federation.

"We have lodged a statement of claim that on the basis of the Constitution, Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Federal Law about the Government of the Russian Federation, Articles 16 and, 19, our rights have been breached. We all know that the parents, who have buried their children, in the majority, are not able to work. This topic is held back, and in general nobody speaks about it. The state has taken away the people's belief in the future, and nobody has any interest in these people," said Ella Kesaeva, the leader of the "Voice of Beslan".

The victims have lodged applications to the name of Russian President V. Putin; head of North Ossetia T. Mamsurov, and to the government of the country with a demand to establish social pensions to the parents who have lost their children in Beslan tragedy. However, as they say, nobody has ever responded.
