OSCE is concerned with pressure on independent mass media in Armenia

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has expressed its concern with the situation in the area of freedom of mass media in Armenia.

Miklosh Charasti, representative of the OSCE on the freedom of speech, has stated, in particular, that OSCE is concerned with the pressure of the authorities of Armenia on the independent "Gala" TV Channel.

In his letter to Vadran Oskanyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Mr Charasti has also expressed his concern with the recent explosion near the office of the oppositional newspaper "Chorord Ishkhanutyun" in Yerevan, Radio Liberty reports.
