Writer kidnapped in the capital of Chechnya

Nikolai Paizulaev, a writer and public figure, was kidnapped in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.

In the afternoon on May 14, Nikolai Paizulaev was informed by telephone that there was some information about his seven-year-old daughter kidnapped last month. When he arrived in a taxi to the appointed place, two unknown pushed him into a car and drove away.

Nikolai Paizulaev was a Chechen presidential aspirant at 2003 election.

His son told about the kidnapping of the writer in his interview to Radio Liberty.
