Counterterrorist operation undertaken in Dagestan

The regime of counterterrorist operation has been introduced today in the village of Bairamaul, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan. For two hours special fighters were storming the house, where, under the operative information, militant Saipudin Ibragimov, 32, announced into search, was hiding.

Before the storm, two women - local residents and Ibragimov's relatives - went out of the house. The third woman refused to go out. The storm started at 1:45 p.m. As a result, according to Valery Zhernov, First Deputy of the Interior Minister of Dagestan, the militant, not wishing to surrender, undermined himself and his accomplice with a grenade. At inspection of the woman's body, a pistol holster and a so-called "shahid's belt" were detected.

The personality of the woman-casualty was established. According to the law enforcement bodies she was Jamilya Ibragimova, wife of Askhab Bidaev, commander of a group of militants, who is under federal search.

The operation was conducted by the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under support of the FSB Department for Dagestan. According to the information received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent at the Interior Ministry of Dagestan, there are no victims among the law enforcers.
