Six persons injured by explosions in the capital of Abkhazia

Four citizens out of six who received fragmental wounds as a result of today's explosions in the area of Sukhumi marketplace in Abkhazia were hospitalized to the Sukhumi clinical hospital, and now their lives are under no threat.

They received slight non-penetrating wounds of their extremities. Vyacheslav Abukhba, the chief physician of the hospital, told about it to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. There are no children among the victims, he added. According to his version, the current state of the patients is satisfactory.

We remind you that the incident happened at about midday Moscow time. The explosives were planted into garbage containers.

Ramin Gablaya, head of Sukhumi Interior Department, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in total six persons suffered as a result of explosions, but two of them required no hospitalization.

Meanwhile, according to the ITAR-TASS, one of the wounded women has died in hospital. But the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in Abkhazia did not confirm this information.

General Public Prosecutor of Abkhazia Safarbei Mikanba has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that a criminal case was initiated under Article "Terrorism".

Let us note here that today two explosions took place in the vicinity of the Sukhumi central marketplace. One - in the immediate proximity to the "Sukhumpribor" Trading Complex, and the other - near the stop of shuttle taxis, which serve the route "Marketplace - Old Village". These places are just 50 meters apart.
