Peace-makers claim peace-making agreements violated in South Ossetia

Military observers of the Joint Peace-making Forces (JPMF) representing three parties point out new violations of the current agreements within the Georgia and South Ossetia conflict zone, the situation there remains aggravated, reports captain Vladimir Ivanov, assistant commander of the Joint Peace-making Forces (JPMF) for mass-media relations, to journalists.

According to him, yesterday, on July 25, the South Ossetia party prevented military observers from visiting the place of suspected fortification works conducted on the South Ossetia MoI post north-west from the Chorbauli settlement, the information on which was provided to the observers by the Georgian party.

The assistant commander also notes that aircraft continue to fly within the conflict zone. Specifically, at 17.50 the PM observation post of RSO-Alania registered an AN-2 airplane flying at 3,500-4,000 meter altitude from west to east, and at 22.30 the joint PM check-point "Tamarasheni" registered an aircraft flying from west to east at about 3,000 meters, reports RIА "Novosti".

Within the period from April 15 to July 25, 2008, the JPMF observation posts have registered at least 30 cases of illegal aircraft flights over the Georgia-Ossetia conflict zone, sums up "Interfax".
