President of Czechia: Georgia was the first to attack South Ossetia

President of Czechia Vaclav Klaus has made Georgia responsible for the military conflict in the Caucasus, having accused it of attacking South Ossetia.

"Georgia was the first to attack South Ossetia," the Czech leader has emphasized. He has also spoken against presenting Russia in negative light. "It would be a tragic mistake to picture Russia as a villain and divide the world into two parts again," the Czech President has noticed. "Russia is not the former Soviet Union."

Speaking about Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's and Abkhazia's independence, Vaclav Klaus has noted that the reason of such Russia's step was in recognition of Kosovo by the West. "If not for Kosovo, there would be no recognition of this independence," President has concluded, as quoted by the ITAR-TASS.
