In Ingushetia, associates of murdered Evloev find the criminal case against them falsified

Magomed Khazbiev, organizer of the nationwide rally of the Ingush people and a colleague of the murdered Magomed Evloev, owner of the independent Internet portal "Ingushetia.Ru", has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he had learnt that he was a figurant in a criminal case summaries of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

"This is a forged case. In their accusations that we took away firearms from militiamen, the MIA had referred to my interview to the 'Kommersant' paper, in which I had allegedly said that together with Maksharip Aushev we indeed took away firearms from two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia Albogachiev and Ozdoev. Yes, I gave that interview to the newspaper, but I said nothing about confiscation of firearms. How can I tell about what we never did. And I've learnt from MIA's summaries about the criminal case against us. Till now, I wasn't summoned anywhere. When journalists started to call up the MIA, they began to negate everything," said Magomed Khazbiev.

The oppositionist has noted that the republic's MIA has been and is doing everything possible to attach the fact of plundering firearm and use of violence to him and Maksharip Aushev.

"The MIA wants Aushev and me, and nobody else. We are interfering with the authorities. We prevent them from robbing the Ingush people," the oppositionist has noted.

Maksharip Aushev, new owner of "Ingushetia.Ru", has narrated that he had been summoned several times by inspector for interrogation to the Investigatory Division for the city of Nazran of the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of Russia for the Republic of Ingushetia (RI).

"One of the two militiamen, named Ozdoev, who had falsely evidenced that Khazbiev and I took away their firearms, later refused from his evidence, recalled his application from the MIA and resigned from his work. The other one, Albogachiev, continues to insist on what he had said, however, plenty of people saw that is was not the case. When we were following the cortege, where Magomed Evloev was transported, we stopped in the centre of Nazran. There, a conflict burst out between members of Evloev clan and employees of the RI's MIA. With Khazbiev, I tried to settle the quarrel, because casualties could have been on both parties. We had no intention to take away any firearms. When I was interrogated, inspectors didn't even ask about Magomed Evloev's murder, although we were witnesses and can identify the killers," Maksharip Aushev has noted.
