Minister of Defense of Nagorny Karabakh: "The election of Ilkham Aliyev as President of Azerbaijan will lead to the progress in the Karabakh settlement"

While meeting with members of the Youth Center organization in Stepanakert on October 14, Minister of Defense of Nagorny Karabakh Seyran Oganian noted the election of Ilkham Aliyev as President of Azerbaijan would not cause drastic changes in the process of Karabakh settlement.

He noted the revival of negotiation process and certain progress in the Karabakh settlement was expected. He stressed that the truce on the contact line of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict was sustained mainly due to the balance of military forces, which was to a large extent conditioned by the level of economic development of the conflict parties.
