Armenia: opposition demands nullifying Yerevan elections

The Armenian opposition has demanded that the Republic's Central Electoral Commission (CEC) recognize null and void the outcomes of voting on May 31 for the Board of Elders of Yerevan, according to which the ruling Republican Party of Armenia proved to be the winner.

On June 5, the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) submitted its complaint and a package of the documents in support of violations to the CEC of Armenia, as reported by the "Interfax".

"The complaint is accompanied by a package of documents confirming violations of the law both at the preparatory stage of the election and on the voting day, and in the course of appealing against the voting outcomes," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes the ANC's spokesman.
