Armenian opposition is dissatisfied with Karabakh settlement and demands President's resignation

The Armenian opposition believes that the process of Karabakh settlement goes not in favour of Armenians, and demands resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan. This is the topic of the statement disseminated today by the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC).

In the opinion of ANC members, the President's administration "prefers to agree to disproportionate concessions, which is equivalent to national treachery."

Oppositional leaders assert that statements of Presidents of Russia, United States and France on Karabakh settlement fail to disclose the essence of the process. As reported by the "Tert.am" Agency, the opposition is dissatisfied that the status of Karabakh is not discussed, a referendum in the territory NKAR (Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region) was removed from the agenda, and an unclear decision was made on overland transport between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"The published settlement principles have not a word about termination of blockade. While earlier the point was in return of refugees to returned territories, now the point is also in their return to Nagorno-Karabakh," the "Panorama.am" Agency quotes the ANC document.
