Georgia wants to deprive Russian delegation of its vote at the PACE
The delegation of Russia at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) may suspend its work, if the autumn session will see the majority of delegates support deprivation of its vote on the issue of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
"Georgian deputies continue pumping up hysteria in PACE corridors, having already publicly stated their intention to put deprivation of our delegation's vote on the agenda of the autumn session," said Konstantin Kosachev, head of the Russian delegation at the PACE and chairman of the international committee of the State Duma, the "Interfax" reports.
The autumn session of the Assembly will take place from September 28 to October 3, as the "Voice of Russia" Radio reports. Under the PACE Regulations, 20 signatures of MPs are required to put a proposal to discussion.
