Residents of Ingushetia report kidnapping of two persons

Kidnappings continue in Ingushetia. On September 5, employees of some unknown power agencies kidnapped Magomed Oziev, 23, a resident of Nesterovskaya village, Sunzha District; and on September 11, Muhammad Syuleimanov, 36, a resident of the city of Malgobek, disappeared. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by relatives of the missing persons.

As reported by Boris Oziev, Magomed's father, at about 2 a.m. on September 5 armed people in camouflage and metal helmets rushed into their house. They failed to present themselves and showed no documents; however, they did not deny that they were employees of law enforcement bodies.

"Some 10-12 power agents rushed into the yard; all of them were without masks. With no explanations, they forced us into the yard under their sub-machine guns. Magomed was in underwear, they didn't allow him to dress," said Boris Oziev.

According to the family, under the threat of sub-machine guns they forced Magomed Oziev to their vehicles parked some 50-100 meters away from the house, and they saw him no more.

"I asked the agents where they were from, and one of them answered: "From ORB-2 (Operative and Search Bureau)."Most of then spoke the Chechen language. When my son was taken away, I wanted to go with him, but they didn't allow me. When asked by me, where they were taking him, they said: 'Look for him at the ROVD (District Interior Division),' not explaining in which of them," the father of the kidnapped guy explained.

Relatives of Magomed Oziev believe that he was kidnapped by Chechen power agents.

Boris Oziev filed applications on his son's kidnapping to the republic's MIA, Sunzha ROVD, Investigatory Department of Russian ICPO (Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office), District Prosecutor's Office and to all human rights organizations of Ingushetia.

"On Sunday, I was informed by our district militiaman that the public prosecutor of the Sunzha District wanted to talk to me. He asked me to write an explanation and said that he learnt about disappearance of my son from Yuri Turygin, Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia," said Boris Oziev.

A possible involvement of Chechen power agents in kidnapping of another resident of Ingushetia - Muhammad Syuleimanov, 36, a resident of Malgobek, who disappeared on September 11, - was reported by his relatives.

Aina, Muhammad Syuleimanov's wife, said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her husband arrived six weeks ago to Ingushetia from Germany, where he has a residence permit for three years already.

"My husband comes here every other month. In Germany, he has another wife and five children. During these three years, he spent half of his time in Germany, and another half here. He was soon to leave for Germany, but his traces were lost in Grozny, from where he spoke to me last time," said Aina Syuleimanovа.

Prior to his disappearance, Syuleimanov was never tried; he was not in the criminal search and had no collisions with law enforcement bodies.

"We believe that he could be kidnapped only by power agents, as he was among those who are named as ' worshipers' or 'adherents', that is, he frequented to the mosque, followed all his religious duties; such people are now disliked by law enforcement bodies. They are put on the so-called 'Wahhabite lists'," one of Syuleimanov's relatives said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Another relative of the missing person has expressed his fear in the context of latest kidnappings, which, according to his story, in this way or other have to do with power agencies of Chechnya. "We have a feeling that Chechen power agents have free hands in Ingushetia. This year, we have more kidnappings with the Chechen trace," said the source.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent could not get any comments on these incidents from law enforcement bodies.
