Agreement reached on free transportation of patients from Abkhazia to Georgia
As reported by Shota Utiashvili, head of the information-analytical department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia, on November 3, in the city of Gali, at a meeting under the mechanism of incident-prevention in the conflict zone, an agreement was reached on unobstructed transportation of patients across the Georgian-Abkhazian border to the hospitals located in the Tbilisi-controlled territory.
The "News-Georgia" Agency reports with reference to Mr Utiashvili that the meeting "has considered the issue of moving patients across the administrative border, as problems appeared earlier for bringing patients to hospitals." "We were assured that such cases won't take place any more. All patients will be allowed to move to the Georgian side without restrictions," said the spokesman of the Georgian MIA.
The parties have also agreed to hold the following meeting on November 17, as reported by the "Georgia Online" Agency.
