Major Dymovskiy rejects charges of murdering Andrei Vritov

Major Alexei Dymovskiy, whom Anastasia Vritova accused of her son's death, is preparing a statement to Prime Minister Putin on his non-involvement in the murder.

Anastasia Vritova, 58, said that after the torture at the interrogation, which was conducted by Dymovskiy, her son Andrei died in SIZO (pre-trial facility) from cerebral oedema.

As reported by the "Pravo.Ru" with reference to Vadim Karastelyov, an expert of the Novorossisk Committee on Human Rights, who also is Dymovskiy's authorized representative, there is nothing strange that this incident was reanimated. According to his story, attempts to blacken Dymovskiy are now undertaken, and it is quite probable that a criminal case will be opened.

As explained by Alexei Dymovskiy himself, on January 28, 2008, in Novorossisk, he detained Andrei Vritov on suspicion of drug dealing. Later, this person died in the prison hospital. A check was held and established that there was no Dymovskiy's guilt in Andrei Vritov's death. Alexei's personal dossier has no remarks or reprimands concerning this case; and already after the check Dymovskiy was awarded the rank of the major.

The "Life News" writes that according to Ms Vritova her son was innocent, and a package with marihuana was planted on him.

According to the woman, she heard the cries of her son, who was beaten by Dymovskiy. When the mother was allowed to meet her son, the latter, as she said, asked her to pay 500 thousand roubles to the inspectors; that is, the sum they had allegedly extorted for his release. The woman had no this money; and her son was left in the SIZO, where he subsequently died from cerebral oedema. His mother believes that her son died from the traumas caused by Dymovskiy during interrogation.
