Another hazardous emission by "Electrozink" in North Ossetia
In Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia, as a result of an accident at the "Electrozink" factory (this time with a pipe in the sulphuric acid shop), another emission of sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere took place.
According to the spokesman of the local Ministry for Emergencies, the accident was quickly eliminated; nevertheless, the emission of sulphur dioxide has caused an excess of the exposure limit for this substance, as the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
It became known today, that Pavel Avdeev, the newly appointed director general of the "Electrozink", has already sacked four top managers of his factory for the accidental emissions admitted in October. Four more employees were reduced in their ranks, as the "Interfax" reports.
