Dagestan resident complains of persecution for his relationship with murdered nephew
Ahmed Ismailov, a resident of Petrakovskiy settlement, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, states that militiamen are persecuting him because he is a relative of Magomed Ismailov, 18, who was found murdered on November 26.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan reported that Magomed Ismailov, together with two unidentified persons, took part in attacking lieutenant colonel Shapi Aligadzhiev, commander of a riot police unit of the MIA of Dagestan. Fire was opened on the militiaman; his wounds were incompatible with life. A security, who accompanied Aligadzhiev, opened the response fire, and Magomed Ismailov was fatally wounded. Other attackers managed to disappear from the place of the incident.
Ahmed Ismailov, who is Magomed's uncle, said that the casualty's parents were told by militiamen that the young man had committed suicide. Ahmed finds this version flimsy, as his nephew, according to his story, had the bullet hole in his parietal region on the left, while he was a right-handed person.
He also said that he had been repeatedly summoned to the militia for his relationship with Magomed Tagaev, who is thought to be one of ideologists of Wahhabism.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the MIA of Dagestan that at the moment they have no claims to Ismailov, and nobody summons him to the militia.
