Chechen rescuers find impossible to search Georgian children drowned in the mountain river
It is practically impossible to find people drowned in a mountain river - this was the comment of the spokesman of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Chechnya on the statement of the Georgian party that Chechnya had refused to help in searching children supposedly carried away by the river after a road accident in the territory of the Chechen Republic.
Let us remind you that on July 22 in Khevsuretiya District, in the Mutso Gorge in Georgia a car with several persons inside fell down into the river. Supposedly, two small children were carried away by the Argun River to the territory of Chechnya. The Georgian party accused the Chechen authorities of refusing to help in searching the disappeared children.
"We can't exclude that the children who disappeared after the road accident in Georgia could be carried away by the river into the territory of our republic; however putting forward any accusations to us is ridiculous. Searching casualties in practically inaccessible gorges, especially in the mountainous part of the republic, on the Argun River with a very strong current, is practically impossible," an employee of the local MfE told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
As an example, he described a last week's incident in the Gudermes District of the republic. Then, rescuers of the MfE were unsuccessfully searching for five days the body of the Chechen militiaman who drowned in the Sunzha River.
