Volgograd: ex-deputy Babkin found guilty of paedophilia

Today the court of the Traktorozavod District of Volgograd sentenced Yuri Babkin, a former teacher and deputy of the City Council, accused of paedophilia, to 15 years of deprivation of freedom in a high security colony.

Babkin was found guilty on 75 episodes of sexual abuse of teenagers. In four cases his victims were under 12, in the rest of them - under 16.

The "Interfax" adds that the former teacher was also found guilty on five episodes, qualified under the article of "sexual intercourse and other sexual actions with a person under 16", and on an episode of making pornography of a person under 14.
