Female tourist perished in mountains of Karachai-Circassia

Two women fell down from the ropeway in the resort village of Dombay in Karachai-Circassia. One of them died, the other was seriously injured.

The accident happened on October 2, and on October 4 it became known that one of the tourists - Olga Lyubimova, 40, a resident of the city of Elektrostal, Moscow Region, died from received traumas.

The other unhappy tourist - Zareta Kipkeeva, a resident of El-Kush village from the Karachai District of the republic, - was brought to the central district hospital with fractures of the first and second lumbar vertebrae.

"The tragedy happened because of breaking safety rules. The two women were coming down by the ropeway without fastening safety belts and fell down," the "Interfax" quotes the spokesman of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
