Russian ICPO investigates appeal of daughter of former rector of higher school in Krasnodar Territory
The Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation has sent an appeal to the General Prosecutor's Office against the sentence to former rector Galina Kroshka. During the reception of citizens in the village of Kuschevskaya, the head of the ICPO Alexander Bastrykin was addressed by Evgenia, Galina Kroshka's daughter.
According to the applicant, her mother, when being the rector of the North-Kuban Humanities-Technological Institute (NCHTI), had openly opposed the gang that acted in Kuschevskaya. According to Evgenia, this was the reason for accusing her mother Galina of a fraud.
In the course of investigating the Kroshka's case, she had repeatedly stated the existence of illegal groupings in Kuschevskaya, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source from law enforcement bodies. At present, the investigation checks this information.
Earlier, mass media reported about mass rapes of female students of the above Institute allegedly committed by members of illegal groupings.
"As to reports of rapes of female students of the NCHTI, the Investigatory Department of the ICPO for the Krasnodar Territory has questioned over two hundred girls. Currently, a number of pre-investigation checks are conducted, on the results of which further procedural decisions will be made", runs the official website of the ICPO.
