In Rostov, defrauded shareholders demand help from authorities

Today, a rally of defrauded housing shareholders was held in Rostov-on-Don. The action was about one hundred persons strong.

"In 2005 I invested my money," Elena Ivanovna, a sareholder of the development company "Maria", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "They were to finish the block of flats in 2007 - they failed; they promised to do it in 2010 - they failed again."

"I'm the only one who is waiting for his apartment for nine years," Ivan Khudin told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "I signed a contract with "Vant" on an apartment in the house to be built at No. 37 Evdokimov Street. The house is not there."

Igor Muravyov, a defrauded real estate stakeholder of the "Vant" Concern and a retired Ministry of Defence office, represents the interests of about 1500 deceived stockholders of this Concern. According to his story, if counted, all the funds of the holders were quite enough to complete all the houses of the "Vant"; however, they have no money and no apartments.
