A young man who disappeared in Grozny had already been kidnapped before and forced to confess the fact of terrorist activities

The young man kidnapped on May, 9, in Lenin district of Chechen capital is not yet found. It emerged that on May, 7, he was also captured by personnel of unknown power ministries, tortured and forced to confess the fact of preparation an act of terror. However, then the kidnapped man was released.

It should be reminded that the eye-witnesses were the first to report kidnapping on May, 9, in Grozny.

"The kidnapped person is a resident of Lenin district of Grozny Tamerlan Suleimanov, born in 1982. As far as I know, his relatives have already submitted respective statements to law enforcement bodies and public prosecutor's office. There are no news of Suleimanov's fate by the moment. There is also no information of his abductors or possible reasons of kidnapping", a member of one of the human rights centers who preferred to remain anonymous said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to him, on May, 7, Tamerlan Suleimanov was also captured by personnel of unknown power ministries. "He was carried off from "Mustang" auto repair station where he worked as a vulcanizer by some members of the top brass. He was kept in prison for several hours, beaten up and tortured", our interlocutor says.

He informed that they demanded statements from Suleimanov about his alleged preparing an act of terror on May, 9, in Grozny. "Unable to get any result, they had to release him", the human rights activist says.

He reported the details of Suleimanov's abduction on May, 9. About 11.30 a.m. a group of law enforcement officers wearing black uniforms in two "Lada Priora" cars arrived at "Mustang" auto repair station. They asked which of those present was Timur and when Tamerlan Suleimanov replied that it was him they bowled him down with a buttstock of a tommy gun. Suleimanov blacked out and they pulled him along into a car.

Two of the young people working together with him tried to stop the officers and find out the reason for such actions but they were beaten up, too. People came running to the place of the incident but they were driven off under the threat of using arms. Then the abductors left the scene.

According to the human rights activist, the young man's relatives state that he has never had any conflicts with law enforcement bodies. "Tamerlan has been working as a vulcanizer for a long time. He has elderly parents and his own family including little children aged one and two", our interlocutor said.

A representative of the republican law enforcement bodies declared that an investigation on abduction of the resident of Grozny was going on. "A statement of kidnapping resident of Grozny Tamerlan Dokayevich Suleimanov committed by a group of unidentified people from "Mustang" auto repair station was submitted to law enforcement bodies. A complex of actions mandatory in such cases is being carried out. All the witnesses of the incident have been interrogated and measures for establishing the persons involved in abduction are being taken", an officer of law enforcement bodies said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

It should be mentioned that the witnesses remembered the vehicle identification numbers of one of the cars used by the abductors and reported them to law enforcement agents. "A week has already passed since the moment of kidnapping and there is still no information on Suleimanov's possible location or state. We cannot rule out that they are trying to let the thing drop and if Suleimanov is still alive they may force him to confess committing some crime by tortures. There have been a number of cases like this", a leader of one of the local NGOs who preferred to remain anonymous said.
