Woman killed by power agents in Dagestan had no "shahid belt", Gasan Aigunov asserts
Gasan Aigunov, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber on protection of the rights of persons held in detention facilities, disproved the power agents' statement Inna (Maryam) Chernikova, who was killed during a special operation in Dagestan, bore a "shahid belt."
On July 24 in the morning, summarizing the results of the special operation in the city of Dagestanskie Ogni, power agents announced that two militants and the 21-year-old Inna (Maryam) Cherenkova (Chernikova) were killed. Another woman – Zagra Kadimagomedova – was injured and brought to hospital.
According to Rashid Nurgaliev, Minister of Internal Affairs, two submachine guns, two TNT blocks, large quantities of ammunition and two charged "shahid belts" were found in the house.
Gasan Aigunov, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber, disproved the power agents' story. He said that the deceased and injured women were not suicide bombers, no "shahid belts" were found with them, and the women became hostages of the circumstances.
Inna (Maryam) Chernikova came from the Stavropol Territory to show a child to her husband. At this time the house was shot. Their "forest" husbands Bashirov and Guseinov were killed, and the women tried to escape through the kitchen garden. When they were crossed the street, Inna (Maryam) Chernikova was fatally wounded.
