16 persons suffer in an explosion in a cafe in Volgograd
An explosion and subsequent fire in the cafe named "Bellagio" in Volgograd have injured 16 persons. According to preliminary data, a gas bottle has exploded, said the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of the Volgograd Region.
"According to preliminary information, a gas cylinder intended for heating blew up in the cafe. Nine ambulances took victims with burns of different gravity to Volgograd hospitals," said the spokesman of the regional department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The victims were taken to the city first aid hospital No. 25 (Hospital Complex), the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the spokesman of the Chief Department for the Volgograd Region of the Russian MfE.
