Stanislav Ilyasov: "Refugees from Chechnya who want to stay in Ingushetia will get money for settling from the Russian Government"
Refugees from Chechnya who want to stay in Ingushetia will get money for settling from the Russian Government, announced Russia's minister for Chechnya Stanislav Ilyasov.
He did not specified sums and dates of the payments. While meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Jan Egeland in Moscow on January 26, Mr Ilyasov said there are 49 thousand Chechen refugees in Ingushetia and 25 thousand of them do not want to come back to the homeland.
According to Mr Ilyasov, only 5 thousand displaced persons live in three tent camps and "nobody forces them to return to Chechnya."
