Abkhazian diaries presented in Sukhum
A presentation of the "Abkhazian Diaries" disk took place at the "Abaza" Cultural Center. The project is carried out with the support of the British NGO Conciliation Resources. The disk includes 14 best audio diaries recorded without journalists' participation. The audio diaries have been broadcasted by the state radio and Soma Radio, Sukhum. The best of them were broadcasted by Russian radio stations.
Rachel Clogg, a representative of Conciliation Resources, thinks that "the project gives the society a chance to reconsider stereotypes. Due to it, people can express their thoughts openly, and people outside Abkhazia can acquaint themselves more closely with how the Abkhazian society lives today."
Conciliation Resources is going to extend the project over the whole the South Caucasus.
