Rebel attacks leave 2 army servicemen dead in Chechnya
Gunmen attacked a group of Russian army servicemen and blew up an armored vehicle in Chechnya on February 9, leaving two servicemen killed and two injured.
A spokesman for the Chechen Interior Ministry reported that the military came under attack at 14:15 Moscow time in the Oktyabrsky district of the Chechen capital of Grozny. Two soldiers died.
The armored vehicle of the Achkhoy-Martan commandant's office was crippled by the blast on a street of this district center, leaving an officer, a sergeant and a passer-by woman with injuries.
Security services and the military prosecutor's office are investigating the attacks.
