Regional administration picketed in Krasnodar
Residents of the Krymsky district picketed the regional administration in Krasnodar on February 9. Over 120 people came to the action of protest. The Krasnodar NGO Association to Protect Taxpayers' Rights played the most active part in the organization of the action. The protestors demanded that the Governor of Krasnodar Territory, Aleksandr Tkachyov, or his first deputy, Aleksandr Remezkov, listen to their claims against head of the Krymsky district administration Vladimir Rybin and consider the district head's resignation.
The situation in the region has considerably worsened since 2001. The largest enterprises in the district have been closed, with thousands of people loosing their jobs as a result of it. Besides, there are a lot of problems, which have not been solved for years.
Vice Governor Murat Akhedjak met with the picketers and conducted negotiations with them, which resulted in the establishment of the commission to check facts and accusations district residents directed against the administration. The decision was made that the commission would start working on February 16.
