New public movement created in Karabakh
Eduard Agabekian, a deputy of the Karabakh parliament, made a statement to the National Assembly. He announced on behalf of the initiative group that Movement - 88 was a new political movement to be formed.
The statement reads, in particular, that the Karabakh Movement presented a protest not only against the unjust decision towards the Armenian people made in 1920s but against bureaucracy and high-handedness, injustice and lawlessness. 16 years after the movement began, these problems still remain urgent.
The initiative group is inclined to make their program public soon. It is to be based on the referendum of 1991 and ideas of building the independent social jural state.
