Georgian Parliament confirms new Cabinet
The Georgian Parliament confirmed the republic's new Cabinet and the government program of the country's development on February 17. Thus, Zurab Zhvania became Prime Minister of Georgia; 4 state ministers and 15 ministers were appointed.
In conformity with the new Georgian constitution, parliamentarians voted for the entire cabinet at once. The ministers were appointed with 165 ayes and 5 nays. According to preliminary data, factions of socialists, traditionalists and the new right did not take part in the voting.
