Syrian refugees to get houses in rural Adygea

The authorities of Adygea have suggested the Syrian citizens – Circassians and Adygs – who arrived in Adygea after their country had plunged into warfare, to settle in rural areas of the republic.

"The territorial heads should actively promote the resettlement of the compatriots arriving from Syria in the countryside and to help them in social adaptation," said Prime Minister of Adygea Murat Kumpilov at the sitting of the commission for coordination of support of compatriots who arrive from Syria.

The Republic's Ministry of Agriculture was instructed by the commission to organize seminars for immigrants to train them in farming and caring for family farms, the "Interfax" reports.

Apart from farming, refugees will study the state languages of Adygea, and the history and culture of Adygs. On March 5, the teachers' qualification improvement institute presented the respective curriculum.

The authors of the curriculum – the philologist Ruslan Mamij and historian Mira Unarokova – said that the training is intended for 72 hours; within the course repatriates will visit theatres, museums and the Republic's Philharmonic Society, the STRC (State Television and Radio Company) "Adygea" has reported.
