Discussion on new forms of civic and political activity and their application in Kuban region takes place in Krasnodar

A meeting was held at the Krasnodar Club of Civil Education on February 28. Vladimir Shmelev, chairman of the All-Russian Public Movement "First Free Generation" and coordinator of the Organizational Committee to create the New Right political party, was invited to it as an expert from Moscow. A source at the Center for Informational Support of NGOs in Krasnodar Territory, which is attached to the Krasnodar regional NGO Guild of Journalists and PR Specialists, told the Regnum correspondent that participants in the round table discussion were activists of non-government organizations (NGOs) and trade union organizations, members of regional branches of the Yabloko party, the Union of Right Forces (SPS) and the Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), Cossacks, and students.

The reporter analyzed a present situation with the development of the country's social and political life as a representative of the new generation. Speaking on the new forms of work used by political associations, he referred to his personal experience gained while creating First Free Generation.

Then there was a heated discussion about features of political life in the Kuban region and Krasnodar, in particular. Much time was given to the debates about the forthcoming election and candidates who are the most significant for residents of the Kuban region.
