Ingush MIA: New Year celebrations pass without problems

In Magas, the capital of Ingushetia, the New Year celebrations gathered thousands of residents. The festivities passed under reinforced security measures and without incidents. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source in the law enforcement bodies of the republic.

Adam Evloev, a participant of the event, told the correspondent that the playground was expanded; hot meals and cooking of shashliks were organized. "Perhaps, the most vivid and spectacular highlight of the holiday was launching of fireworks from the 100-meter Ingush observation tower, which is near completion," Adam Evloev has noted.

"A lot of people came into the streets and ran the holiday fireworks. There were New Year performances with songs, dances, and people really had fun till the morning," says Ilez Tsechoev, a resident of Ingushetia.
