At "Kunaki" film festival, best films focus on persons and their destinies, Evgeny Golynkin asserts
Quality of documentary films and TV shows, submitted to the documentary film contest "Kunaki" this year, has increased significantly. However, not all works complied with the idea of the festival. The next year, the organizers intend to reduce the number of works submitted for the contest and tighten the requirements for quality. This was reported by festival director Iliyas Bogatyryov. The programme of the last festival included work of too variable quality. This was noted by Evgeny Golynkin, Chairman of the jury.
Let us remind you that on October 16, the 7th festival of documentary films and TV shows "Kunaki" was opened in Cherkessk. In total, 43 films were submitted to the contest.
On October 19, on the day of closing ceremonies, the audience applauded to the film "Anchorite" directed by Aisa Sheikhova from Vladikavkaz. The film tells the audience the story of a young woman Dzarassa, whose husband died in the Kolka Glacier.
The audience expressed its interest in the film "Front beyond Clouds" directed by Vladimir Vorokov and Rimma Martirosova from Kabardino-Balkaria. The film describes the events of the war years in the Elbrus region.
The Ministry for Nationalities, Mass Communications and Media of Karachay-Cherkessia has awarded with diplomas two films "Brothers" and "Last Resident of Gamsutl" directed by Patimat Burzieva from Dagestan. Diplomas "For promotion of culture of Caucasus" of the Ministry of Culture of Karachay-Cherkessia went to films "From Beginning to Truth" directed by Madina Batchaeva and "I Gave Treasured Song to People" directed by Irina Sedakova, both from the State TV and Radio Company (STRC) "Karachay-Cherkessia".
The Grand Prix went to film "Land Deposit" directed by Ivan Golovlyov.
