Chechnya: utilities to be free for families of perished power agents
The Chechen authorities plan to provide free-of-charge public utilities to families of the law enforcers who died in performance of their duties. The rules will take effect from January next year, the Chechnya's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.
"Currently, the MIA is compiling and verifying the lists of family members of perished power agents, in order to establish the exact number of persons, who will be rendered the help," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the regional MIA headquarters.
As reported by a source from the Chechen Parliament, the respective law was adopted a few weeks ago. "In the course of counterterrorist operations (CTOs) we have lost more than one thousand employees of the republic's law enforcement bodies," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He has explained that parents of perished power agents and their families will receive free public utilities.
