Final parliamentary election returns announced in Georgia
On April 18, Georgia's Central Election Commission announced the final returns of the repeat parliamentary elections under the proportional system held on March 28.
The following political parties will be represented in the Georgian parliament: the ruling United National Movement - Democrats party, which won 66.2% of the vote, and the Right - Industrialists bloc, which got 7.5% of the vote and has only 15 of the 150 seats. 85 deputies were elected under the majority system on November 2, 2003.
The Central Election Commission said the final report did not include figures from two electoral districts in Ajaria, where election returns were annulled because of procedural violations.
