The Azerbaijani MPs Ali Guseinli, Elmira Akhundova and Ganira Pashayeva have offered the authorities to close the Baku office international human rights organization "Transparency International" (TI).

According to Ali Guseinli, the Chairman of the Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) on Legal Policy and State Building, the latest report of the TI has accused MPs of corruption.

"However, I'm sure that the TI members in Azerbaijan themselves, including Rena Safaralieva, are mixed up in corruption scandals. I think that the TI's office in Azerbaijan should be closed. It is necessary to stop cooperation with the organization involved is spreading baseless and false information about our country," said Ali Guseinli.

He also drew attention to the activities of the human rights activist Leyla Yunus, who, as he claimed, "has received hundreds of thousands of dollars for her anti-Azerbaijani activities."

Let us remind you that last December the "Transparency International", based in Berlin, released its annual "Corruption Perceptions Index" for 2013, in which Azerbaijan shared the 127th place with Russia.
