Conference 'Tolerance Is Policy of 21st Century' held in Makhachkala
The conference titled "Tolerance Is Policy of 21st Century" was held at the Dagestani State University, Makhachkala, on April 22. The following reports were given at the conference: "Globalization and Tolerance. Ecological Safety Is an Essential Condition for Steady Development in the 21st Century" by Magomed Magomedov, a reader at the Dagestani Medical Academy; "Dagestan - Steps Towards Democratization" by Abdurakhman Yunusov, president of the Information and Analytical Center Rakurs and vice president of the Russian Association of Esperantists; "Culture Education as a Factor of Stabilization in a Polyethnic Region" by Valentina Turintseva, library director for the Dagestani Pedagogical University; and others. Professor Lyudmila Avshalumova, a member of the State Council of the Republic of Dagestan, attended the conference.
The second part of the conference was a round table discussion on various issues, which resulted in the idea to found a discussion club on the issues of modern society development in Dagestan.
