ICRC arranges round table for media workers in Makhachkala
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has arranged a round table for journalists in Makhachkala. The ICRC has been working in Dagestan for almost 10 years. Its office is in Khasavyurt. ICRC employees, Zumrat Magomedova and Luisa Khazhgeriyeva, told the media workers what had been done for this period.
The ICRC does much work in the republic. For the most part, it renders help to victims of war, especially to refugees. Special attention is paid to the mine/UXO [unexploded ordnance] awareness program. The program has been implemented in the republic for more then three years.
