Catholic Relief Services carries out new project in Azerbaijan

The humanitarian organization Catholic Relief Services (CRS) presented its Raising Public Awareness of the Equality of Sexes project at the International Press Center on May 5. The project is financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It was launched on March 1 and will be completed in late May. The project is to raise awareness of the county's citizens in the field of gender culture and stereotypes, project coordinator Bakhar Fataliyeva said. Besides, CRS plans to familiarize citizens with the legislative basis in this field.

Trainings will be conducted within the framework of the project in Gyandzha, Barda, Lyankyaran, Baku, and Nakhchivan, Ms Fataliyeva said.  "The trainings will consist of two sections. Government officials and NGO activists will take part in them," she added.
