Residents of Vremenny complain about protraction of their resettlement
Making decision on resettlement of the residents who have left their settlement of Vremenny in Dagestan and setting up a tent camp for them is protracted, residents have complained; the Untsukul District Division of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) said that they planned to temporarily accommodation locals until the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime is lifted.
Earlier, residents of Vremenny said the local school and kindergarten were closed, they had not enough food, and power agents were destroying their outbuildings.
On November 10, when meeting Magomedgadji Zainulabidov, the Dagestani leader's representative in the Highland Territorial District, residents of Vremenny demanded to set up a commission to assess the damage caused to them during the CTO and to help in their resettlement to some new residence. According to the participants of the meeting, Zainulabidov promised only to set up a tend camp for refugees.
Aminat Magomedova, a resident of Vremenny, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the villagers who took part in the meeting are still waiting for the above boss to fulfil his promise.
According to her story, on November 17 local activists appealed to the local MfE asking about the date of setting up the tent camp. "We need a permit of the district head; then, an official one – from the republic's authorities. As a result, the issue will be decided on November 18," she said.
Another woman – Khadizhat M. – promised to go on hunger strike, should their demands be ignored.
