Deputy head of district administration survives assassination attempt in Ingushetia
An attempt on the life of Galina Gubina, deputy head of the Sunzha district administration, was made in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya, Ingushetia's Sunzha district, on May 17, the Caucasian Knot correspondent was told in the Sunzha district police department.
The incident occurred in the first half of the day not far from one of the buildings of the Ingush State University. Investigators' version is that an explosive device was fastened to the bottom of an office car and went off when the woman was getting into it. The investigators believe Ms Gubina's professional activity may have become a reason for the assassination attempt.
Galina Gubina was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The car driver did not suffer.
An investigation is underway.
