British Embassies accept applications for funding new projects of NPOs in Southern Caucasus

In Tbilisi, the "Caucasian House", World Vision, the HALO Trust and other NPOs have presented their project of peacekeeping activities in Southern Caucasus. Until April 16, the British Embassies in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan accept applications from NPOs for funding of new projects in the regions of Southern Caucasus.

Starting from March 26 until April 16, British consulates in Baku, Tbilisi, and Yerevan accept applications for funding of projects in the regions of Southern Caucasus from the Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF).

On March 31, in Tbilisi, members of public organizations, such as World Vision, International Alert, NIMD, the HALO Trust, Saferworld, Synergy Network, "Caucasian House", "Internews Georgia", "Red Cross", "Conciliation Resources", "Eurasia" Partnership Foundation, Centre for Peacemaking Practice and The School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at "George Mason University", discussed the peacemaking projects in Southern Caucasus.

The project "Ukraine: out of the crisis through dialogue" was launched in October 2014. The project's goal is to contribute to the resolution of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia through meetings of Ukrainian and Russian experts in Georgia.

The NPO World Vision is in Southern Caucasus since 2005. The NPO works with children and young people of Abkhazia in such spheres as health, education, social security, and peacemaking.

In Georgia, The HALO Trust is one of the world's largest NPOs engaged in demining land. It works in 16 countries and has employed more than 8000 local residents.

In 2013-2014, the NPO Synergy Network together with the "Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflict" was engaged in implementation of the project "Enhancement of involvement of IDPs (internally displaced persons) in policy-making in Georgia."
